More like No-DK. xD

I've been trying to figure out finances for the last few days, and no matter how I tweak them, it doesn't look like I'll be able to afford to go this year. My portion of the rent for the house and my bills definitely have to come first, and those leave me with no extra money to speak of. I also need to start saving up for our trip to Japan next year, which I haven't put a dime towards yet.

It's a bummer, since this is going to be the first time in about four or five years that I haven't gone. But it's not like I had any new costumes to bring or anything like that. That'll be Wasabi, which isn't until March.

Oh well. Que sera sera!

So, I spent part of my day beating Final Fantasy IX. :D I'm so happy! This is only the second FF game I've played and beaten, so I'm incredibly proud of myself. And I did it with relatively weak characters; I think my highest level character was Vivi, and he was only about level 57 or 58. And the ending made me tear up so badly! I wasn't all and out bawling, like I always do to VIII's ending, but I was really close. xD

So, now I just need to replay VIII, since I'm going to be picking up Laguna. I already made Steiner's journal and had him request to join Ares. Now I'm just waiting for him to be accepted.

And I have no idea why, but I've been on a real Disney kick today. It started with watching clips from Enchanted on YouTube, which led me to find a really well done music video with clips of Sleeping Beauty done to Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life." Kind of a weird combination, but it fit perfectly. xD So I ended up pulling out my DVD of Sleeping Beauty and watched it while I ate dinner.

Bleh, I can't believe that it's already August. That means that I won't be able to spend as many of my days playing video games and watching old movies, when school (once it starts) and work will be taking up all of my time. >_> At least I have Fridays relatively easy.... I don't have class, so that means I just work. :D But even that may be changing, so I don't know. I'll just have to see what happens.

I really want to go travel or something before school starts again, but I don't really have the money to do it. Maybe one weekend I can borrow the car and head down to Denver and shop for a while. That would be fun.

And my room is still messy, even though I've been moved back in for at least a month. xD I need to start cleaning it. I'll do that either tonight or tomorrow.

So, el Cherry Blossom festival was good. A little more boring than I had expected, but it was fun hanging out with everybody. And I'm really starting to love Denver! I could definitely imagine living there and enjoying it.

And omg, Dave and Buster's! It is so much fun! I want to go again. ;o; I have over 3000 tickets to spend, but I need more! And apparently there's a place that's similar to Dave and Buster's called Ben and Jerry's a few miles south of it in Denver. Sheena told me so when I talked to her at work yesterday. xD It may be worth checking out.

And ack, gas is so expensive! ;o; Though, not as expensive as in Long Island. xD I had a lady named Jennifer call from there wanting some gas bucks; apparently, her friend is moving to Fort Collins and Jennifer's getting together some gift certificates from local restaurants and all that for her to take with when she moves. That is so sweet! If I ever move, I want someone to do that for me. But anyway! She asked me what the price of gas was, and I told her that I couldn't tell her, since there is apparently a law in Colorado forbidding gas stations to tell their prices over the phone. When I told her that, she was like "Oh well, I'm sure it's not as expensive as it is here. We're up to $4.50 a gallon." x_x

It's funny. I remember trading e-mails with Robby like... 8 years ago when I was vacationing in California with my family. He asked me what gas prices were and I told him that it was over $2 a gallon, and him freaking out in response. xD; Nowadays, it's like... I wish gas was only $2 a gallon. Amazing how times change.

Okay! So.

It turns out that it's not going to take $1100 to fix my car. Oh no. My mechanic kept finding things wrong with it (like replacing the radiator since it leaks, as well as replacing the serpentine belt EVEN THOUGH I JUST GOT THAT REPLACED IN EARLY MAY). So... my grand total is like... $1711 or something like that. Thanks a lot, Jiffy Lube, for selling me a bad serpentine belt when I went to go get my oil changed in May. xD;

Well, I have most of my stuff moved back already. It's currently sitting out in the garage, waiting for the day when my dad and I can move things around in my new/old room and make room for all of my stuff. The only things I need to grab from Loveland now are all of my shoes, bedding and blankets. My dad and I definitely worked our asses off trying to get mostly everything back in one trip.

At least I finally get to be away from work and FoCo and all that for a few days~ Hopefully the cherry blossom festival is fun! I'm excited to go to Boondocks and Dave and Busters, too. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]! We will finally get our race in the Ini D game. T_T

Oh! [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]! I mailed out those books for you today! :D The guy said it will take 2-3 days to get to you~ So... probably by Wednesday you'll have them.

And the first season of Supernatural arrived for me today! I watched an episode while I was folding my laundry. xD Good times, good times.

Wheee!

Edit: Awesome! I just got a Salmon IM. xD First time in a while, too. The name ControlledSalmon made me LoL.
