Into the unknown

Wow. Hi there, LJ. Been a while. Over 2 1/2 months since I last posted anything on here.

A lot of stuff has happened since October 12th. I finished up all of the classes I need to get my AA, though I'm technically graduating in the spring. My birthday came and went in November, which was fun. Thanksgiving was also a nice time. December 3rd happened, along with December 8th. hyper_amychao's birthday, the Solstice Party, and Christmas also happened.

My birthday was a lot of fun this year. A bunch of my friends ended up going to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, then Pappadeaux for dinner. There ended up being about 12 of us altogether, so it was quite a big group. My sister's birthday was also on October 30th, so I ended up going to the party she had. I met her boyfriend for the first time, and a bunch of her friends from school.

hyper_amychao had her birthday on December 5th, which ended up being a lot more relaxed than mine. A few of us went to Old C's and had dinner, just chilling for the majority of it.

Christmas was nice this year. My dad, sister and I ended up going out to Brush Christmas Day, which was the first time I'd been back there since my grandmother passed away four or five years ago. The Solstice party was also a good time; we ended up watching really bad movies and having large amounts of Puppy Chow. <3

Nothing really notable in my acquisitions this year, but I did get a lot of books and movies. I also got some snow boots from my dad, which will come in handy when we do actually get snow here.

So, it's been a while since I updated this thing! Halloween came and went without incident, and now we're into November!

October ended with an almost blizzard, Tina is broken again (sob), and November's actually been pretty good so far. We're having summer weather; today was up to about 73 or 75, and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer. That's good, seeing as how tomorrow is my birthday and I want to have lovely weather to enjoy it in! :D

I went to see Rob Thomas in concert with my dad on the 27th, and I must say I'm very impressed. The guy played nearly two hours straight, and was engaging and funny while he was doing it. I have so much more respect for him and the other bands that played with him.

Speaking of concerts, I'm going down to Boulder tomorrow to see Regina Spektor with my little sister. Hopefully that will be a good show!

All right, time to go do some girly things and get ready for my birthday dinner tonight, and enjoy my second viewing of the episode of Supernatural that was on last night.

Wheee! So, Friday was my birthday. :D I took the afternoon off from work and relaxed before meeting everyone for dinner at Woody's. At work, Debra made me a sign and bought me a cake, while Debbie and Darcie got me cards. x3 That definitely helped to counter the disappointment I felt when I got a call from the lady handling our rent application. According to her, we "make too much money" and so she can't approve us. T_T That's totally untrue, but at this point I don't even want to live there anymore. So! It's time to look for something else.

Dinner with everyone was really fun; I wasn't expecting so many people to actually show up! So, this birthday's definitely been one of the most fun that I've had.

Saturday, four of us headed down to Denver and went to the Museum of Nature and Science. It was a lot of fun! I haven't been to the museum since my... junior or senior year of high school. The Planetarium was awesome, along with the Dinosaur exhibit. xD The IMAX Dinosaur movie was such a letdown, though. After we finished at the museum, we went to two anime stores and the Park Meadows Mall (which is gigantic, by the way o_o). At the first anime store we went to, there was this annoying guy who kept hitting on me. xD; He even told me before I left that he thought I was really hot. o_O It was like "Uh yeah, awkward..."

But I did end up buying a lot of schist today. xD I got four new manga series to try out, a Aucifer single, and an Initial D thing (originally, we all thought that it was supposed to be a PC game, but it's really just a CD-ROM with information about the show and stuff). It came with a really cool dog tag! :D

So, I guess that everyone is doing a cosplay event at the mall today. xD It should be fun! I'm looking forward to the trivia part of the event. :D

Ana and I went to see "The Full Monty" tonight at the Carousel Dinner Theatre. Let me just sum it up in three words: IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

We had a great time, the show was hilarious and the food was excellent. :D It was very good, although halfway through the show I started thinking about my date tomorrow and got really nervous about it. xD I'm excited for it, though. Hopefully we'll get along.

When Charity was telling me about what happened after we left the party, she said that he was "quite taken" with me. That's quite exciting, seeomg as how no one's really been "quite taken" with me before. xD Of course, he does have some flaws- like him not having a job and stuff, but hopefully that won't matter too much. So, yeah. I hope things go well, since my date is in less than 10 hours!!! *screams* :0

My birthday is coming up in two days as well, which scares me. I'm going to be 20. 20! I feel so old... xD I'm like "Wahhh, I shouldn't be feeling like an old lady at the young age of 20." I think I want to do something crazy for it- like cut my hair. o_o For some reason, I have to do something crazy to my hair every two years- when I turned 18 I dyed it red and now I think I want to cut it. But if I do, I'm going to basically hack it off. No half-hearted attempts for me! So, we'll see what happens. :3
