I ended up riding my bike a lot this weekend! Eight miles yesterday, and another 12 today. I'm quite proud of myself for getting back into the groove of things and taking advantage of the nice weather we've been having.

I went to LotP today, after [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I finished cleaning the office and played a bit of The Bouncer, and ordered some new shoes to wear to work. I'm very excited to get them, as they're fricking adorable.

I went to look at cars yesterday with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], since I need a new one desperately. xD We ended up spending about three hours at one dealership, because the guy helping us was totally smarmy and couldn't understand the words "I'm just looking, thanks."

I don't really think there's anything else pressing going on right now. Just work and school, pretty much. Although, I'll be really happy once the semester is over. Work can stop being a bitch any time, now.

Last night was the BBQ for Joe's birthday. It was pretty fun! I ended up staying over until about midnight, which is probably the longest I've stayed at any of our parties ever. xD I gave Joe his gift from Ana, Nic and me; he really seemed to like the books.

I bought some new sheets and some clothes yesterday afternoon. I'm really starting to appreciate Ross a lot. xD They have cheap stuff, and most of it is good quality. I found Hydraulic jeans there for $13.00 and queen sized jersey knit sheets for $20.00.

I've spent the last few hours doing stuff on XBox Live; most of it has been downloading the new RE5 stuff that came out. Now I need to finish up laundry, head to LotP and get a wig, then over to the library to return a book. After that, it may be food time.
jupiterhalo: ([RvB] Perfectly sane)
I definitely don't feel like I should be up this early on a Saturday. xD Well, it's not THAT early... but early for me. I use my weekends to sleep in, damn it!

However, I have too much to do today, and I don't know how I'll find the time to do all of it. On the agenda today, is :

-Packing
-Looking at a possible storage unit
-Taking Doodles to the vet
-Finishing up shopping (for the most part)
-Going to the Duke and watching Bob and his stupid band
-Maybe a trip to Goodwill to drop off all of the clothes and stuff we're getting rid of

Anyway, I saw The Princess and the Frog last night. Omfg it was so cute. xD I hate everything that Disney's done in the last few years, but I love their fairy tale movies. I think this and Enchanted have been the only two movies I've enjoyed in a long time. I think I'm in the minority, but I hate Pixar. :| As a result, I try to avoid all of their movies if I can. But yeah, I enjoyed it a lot last night. The theater was completely empty except for a few other girls and me. It sounds like [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I are going to see it sometime next week, as well.

I also checked to see if my grades for the semester had been posted yet. They were. All A's, baby! Well, except for the science class I withdrew from. xD I haven't had a 4.0 in forever. I'm still pretty psyched about that.

Ugh. Okay. Time to get dressed and start moving some of these boxes over to my parent's place, before I go meet that lady to look at the storage unit.

EDIT:

Oh yeah! Here's my letter to Santa, before I forget.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In May I signed my organ donor card (28 points). Last Thursday I donated bone marrow to [livejournal.com profile] sorcererhuntres in a life-saving procedure (300 points). Last Wednesday I helped [livejournal.com profile] kazeoto across the street (6 points). Last Sunday I punched [livejournal.com profile] jamochalicious in the arm (-10 points). In September I gave [livejournal.com profile] ras_algethi a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points).

Overall, I've been nice (374 points). For Christmas I deserve an XBox 360!

Sincerely,
jupiterhalo

Man. I want a 360 for Christmas. xD

So, I went and took Doodles to the vet today. She needed to have a vaccination, a general exam and a fecal test. She seems to be fine for the most part, but she does have an eye AND ear(s) infection. Poor baby. It's bad enough having one; I can't imagine having an infection in both my ears and my eye at the same time. Giving her the medicine for this is incredibly painful for all parties involved, and she's totally mad at both me and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] right now. xD

Because of the extra medication and stuff, the bill for her visit ended up being almost $160. And I have to take her back in two weeks so they can make sure she's doing okay. :| Having a pet isn't cheap, man.

Speaking of money, I was productive and did more of my holiday shopping! I finished up my mother, Ana, and Nic, and started on Gerardo. So, that just leaves him, my dad, my sister, Shannon, Joe, Kira, and my Secret Santa to shop for. :D I'm definitely proud of myself. We'll see how much money I have left after I finish everything, though.

Oh, that reminds me! [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], I went ahead and authorized the transfer yesterday, I think... either yesterday or Thursday. According to PayPal, I should have the money in there by the 7th. So, I'll transfer it as soon as it shows up, okay? <3

It's been a long day, so I think it's bedtime.

312- Yay!

I am so happy right now.

In other news, shopping was fun! I found some pants for about $7.00, six pairs of socks for about $3.00, and the latest NANA manga. :D Dinner was delicious, and it was all around a good day!

I should really start studying for my Art History test on Tuesday... man. I don't want to, though. I'll do it later.

I think it's sad that I just got paid yesterday and I already have no money left over. Of course, my C/C payment is due before we get paid again, so I had to take care of that with this paycheck. Otherwise, I would have had plenty left over.

Hmmm. I think I'll find something to do.
jupiterhalo: (Shunsui/Nanao hug)
Okay! After the very interesting laptop drama over the last few days, I have finally got a laptop back! Luckily, it's much nicer than the one I originally had. x3 Apparently the one I have now is a gaming laptop, so it'll play tons of games no problem. And that includes Morrowind. So I'm really excited to check out what exactly I can do with this baby. And this new one comes with stuff like Microsoft Money, so I can keep track of my accounts and all that even more easily. And I can check to see how much debt I'm in... >_> I'm also sad that I had to lose all of my RP stuff, icons, music, etc. when I lost my other laptop, but... hey, there was nothing I could do about it.

I went to Life of the Party today, and ended up buying four pairs of shoes. xD But they're all very cute! Two of them are the same shoe, just in different colors: one is with pink satin and black lace, with a three inch heel, and the other pair is red satin with black lace and a three inch heel. I also ordered a pair of knee high boots with ribbons that lace up the side, and some schoolgirl shoes with three inch heels. x3 I can't wait to get them~ I love shoes. No question. And if I go to Suite 152 again and wear that same outfit I did on Tuesday, I can wear my new red heels. x3 *flail*

Speaking of! It was totally awkward seeing Larry there. xD Especially after everything that had happened between us; it was strange to have him wanting to talk to me and hug me. He even invited me over to see the closet he's been living in at Billy's. o_o So I'm a little weirded out by him right now, especially when I think about that time he called me in May. xD Stupid Larry. But him and I meeting again had to happen sooner or later; I'm glad that it happened now instead of at NDK. That would have been really awkward.

I've been really tired lately. And I still need to finish getting my room together; there's still stuff all over the place, especially now that I've unpacked everything in the boxes I brought back from Loveland. Sigh. I really don't want to live at home any more, especially considering the fact that someone in my family ruined my laptop and forced me to go out and buy a new one. But, considering how much in debt I am at the moment, it's probably a good thing that I'm going to be living at home for a while. xD With no rent to worry about, I can focus on paying that off, as slowly as it may be.

Movie night with my co-workers tomorrow! It'll be kind of fun to spend time with everyone outside of work... I'm actually looking forward to it. I work with some pretty cool ladies.

Dear [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com],
I don't really know how to tell you this, but I dislike you.
I think I realized it when your dog ran amok in your camping car and I saw you sit at my best friend.
I'm sure you're ashamed enough to understand that Extreme Home Makeover sucks .
I'm returning your ring to you, but I'll keep your photo as a memory.
You should also know that I will tell the authorities about a new life as a clone .
Go burn,
[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]

The how-to! )

So, in other news, I actually spent a day with my sister! And it was fun. :o I may end up being her date to a wedding... We spent a lot of the day at Centerra, and ended up watching Lars and the Real Girl. SUCH a good movie. Ryan Gosling is so cute~ <3

At Centerra, I bought the Anime Legends collection of Cowboy Bebop (for only $40!) and some books (including World War Z).

And I was really happy! My Aucifer CD came today! *squees* Besides a few weird songs, I'm really impressed with them. <3 It was totally worth the buy, I think.

And yeah... I have all of these memes I took from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], but I don't know if I'll post them. xD; I may end up doing it anyway, since I already did half the work.

148- Home.

May. 16th, 2007 10:38 pm
jupiterhalo: (Honour)
Yay, I'm finally home. :D

Liz and I woke up at about 9:45, did some last minute packing and stuff, loaded up the PT Cruiser with my stuff and about 11 of her boxes, and off we went to Starbucks to get some chai tea before I dropped her off at work.

Once that happened, I went and got gas, then found my way back to I-70 (after missing the turn once xD). I considered stopping in Parachute, but decided against it. I just drove straight through again, and it took me about the same amount of time to get home as it did to get to Grand Junction, so that was cool. ^_^

Finally made it back home at 4:45, and the first place I went to (even before going home) was Barnes and Noble. They had volumes 4 and 5 of "FAKE," so I snagged those immediately. T_T You have no idea how many places I looked for those stupid books when I was in Grand Junction. xD Then I went over to Best Buy... and they have the special edition of "Gundam SEED Destiny" volume 7! So that made me happy... until I looked at the price. $35 for the DVD and a box. So I forced myself to wait.

So, I got a lot of stuff when I was over on the Western Slope! I'm very satisfied with everything. In the end, here's the loot I ended up with:

~"Soul Calibur III" for the PS2
~Volumes 4 and 5 of "Angel Sanctuary"
~"Gundam SEED" volume 4 DVD

Not quite as much as I had expected, but definitely good stuff. And I still have about $30 left from my travel money, too. ^_^ As a bonus, I came home to one of my tax refund checks, as well~ AND I get paid tomorrow. xD So, I'll have plenty of money for whatever comes... like when Liz comes here on Sunday and stuff. That'll be chill.

Dude, omg! Speaking of work... there have been, like, CRAZY developments at work while I was gone. First off, they changed the clocking system so we have to clock in at the registers in our department, instead of at the time clock. T_T What a hesu and a half, even though I knew about that before I left.

Second, MaryAnn got demoted! O_O I have no idea what happened, but yeah... apparently she got kicked down from Merchandising manager to Jewelry manager. Sara got put in MaryAnn's position, I guess, and Andrea is now the RTW manager.

All I can say is "WTF?!" Sheesh, you leave for, like, five days and everything goes berserk on you. I don't want Andrea to be my manager... T_T I like Sara! I don't like Andrea! Although, if Andrea's manager she may let Shannon and me work together more. xD But, still! To Andrea I say: DO NOT WANT!

...Anyway. I'm exhausted. xD It's been a very long day, and it will be nice to sleep in a bed again. Although, I do want to play more "RE 4" and "SC III"...
jupiterhalo: (Your presence still lingers here)
Whooo, today was so busy. xD

We didn't go to bed until around 3:30 or 4 this morning, and I woke up at 11. However, I didn't get up until around 11:45... heehee, I was being lazy. I took a HOT SHAAR, with unlimited hot water. That was nice. And then it was off to shop!

...Or so we thought. xD Since Liz had gotten paid on Friday, we went to one of the Wells Fargos here in Grand Junction to see if they could cash her check. After we were refused, we went back to the dorm and had Dana, one of Liz's podmates, come with us to another Wells Fargo to get the check cashed in her name. After that, we decided to treat Dana to Starbucks as a way of saying "thank you." But first we needed to get the PT Cruiser gas. The gas station we went to had unleaded at $3.11 a gallon. That's the least expensive price for gas I've seen in quite a long time. xD

Now it was time to shop. First, we went to this Pagan store in Grand Junction called Heart of the Dragon. I looked around and didn't really find anything, but I did find Liz her late birthday present. It was a cool store, and I hadn't been in a store like that in such a long time. ^_^

After that, we hit the mall. We stopped in soooo many different stores, including: Bath and Body Works, FYE, Hot Topic, this junior clothing store called DEB, and Jo-Ann's, where we picked up material for comfort blankets. I bought some more chapstick when we were at Bath and Body Works... they were having this sale where they were 3 for $15. I broke down and bought 3, since I always seem to lose them. xD At FYE I found a "Gundam SEED" DVD that I'd been looking for forever, and it was only $15 as well~!

After we finished at the mall, we went over to Best Buy. There were a few things I wanted to get there... but their anime section is so much smaller than the one in Fort Collins. I figured that if I wanted anything, I should probably just wait until I got home to go looking. Apparently "Peach Girl" has been licensed and has already been released! That kind of shocked me. They also had "X-Men: Evolution" season 3 for sale, as well as the complete "Scrapped Princess" anime. I resisted getting them, though.

Next came Barnes and Noble, but again... they didn't have as much as FoCo. So, I waited. Then after a trip to Michael's and another stop at Border's, we finally finished up and ate dinner at this Mexican restaurant called Panchero's. They make their own tortillas fresh, so that was really good. ^_^ The steak they have was delicious. Then after an ice cream stop at Coldstone, we finally came back to the dorm.

Right when we settled in, Caleb called and we decided to meet for Italian sodas. Eventually, the whole group showed up, and we all hung out. There was this thing called CramJam going on, so we went and got some free food and stuff. :D

Once we had finished eating, this guy named Justin invited us to his dorm room so we could play "Soul Calibur III." It was a lot of fun, but this guy named Cole really pissed me off. He is in the room next to Justin's, and he kind of invited himself in and was watching Liz and me play the game. Since it was my first time, I was just kind of button-mashing and seeing what exactly I could do with everything. After a few minutes he was like "You know, what you're doing right now would be illegal in a tournament." It's like "Whoop de doo, I could care less." So I replied "Well, I guess it's good that we aren't in a tournament, isn't it?" ~_~ Just... ugh. He pissed me off for the rest of the night. This one guy named Greg was play-flirting with me, though, so that cheered me up.

Now we're settled back in Liz's dorm, which is where I'm assuming we're going to stay for the rest of the night. All I want is some peace and quiet, since Cole was being a bastard, Gideon is confusing the hell out of me... The plan for tomorrow is to either go see the Monument or Bang's Canyon, then make another trip to Heart of the Dragon with Caleb. After that, Jon and Patrick wanted to hang out for a while, so I'm supposing we're going to do that. Sheesh, people in Grand Junction sure keep you busy.

jupiterhalo: (You're all I need)
Well, here I am, all alone while Liz is at work. :3

It's kind of cool hanging out here in the pod by myself. xD She was nice enough to let me use her laptop, so I'm going around checking all of the usual sites. I'll be by myself until she gets off work at 7, and then I'm not quite sure what we're going to do.

But, yeah. I didn't get to bed until after 3 this morning, as Liz and I were talking about hamsters. xD; It was very giguely. I woke up a few times during the night, but I actually slept quite well, considering that I'm sleeping on the floor. I woke up at 11, saw that Muss had texted me, and tried to get Liz up a few times. I can see why she always wants me to call her and wake her up, because she just doesn't like to get up at all. But, she eventually got up at... 11:50 or something like that.

Yesterday, we went to Border's~! It was so cool... they had so much manga. e_e I haven't bought manga in such a long time, so I went crazy. I bought volumes four and five of "Angel Sanctuary," and some other stuff as well. :D It was nice to shop for books.

And on a totally unrelated subject, I looked at my final grades a few days ago. I ended up with an A in Humanities, a B in Music History, an A in Sociology, a B in Anthropology, and an A in Comp. So, definitely not a bad semester. :D I really enjoyed it.

I think tomorrow we're going to go shopping and do some sight-seeing. The cards yesterday said we were going to do a lot of exploring, so I'm looking forward to that. I really want to go to Heart of the Dragon; it sounds like such an awesome store. But today, I think we're just going to chill.

And I think I may actually go take a nap. e_e; I'm still kind of tired... or I'll read some of my new books! :D We shall see.
