Hey, friends! I need help.

I'm looking into buying a new digital camera for NDK next month, since the one I got from my sister doesn't even turn on anymore.

Does anyone know of a cheap yet good digital camera?

I have a Nikon Cool Pix it's pretty decent. You WILL need an SD card because the built in memory on it is shit.

I'm a Canon and Nikon fan. The quality of those cameras >> any other at those price ranges. Just make sure you grab something with Image Stability.

Also debate whether or not you like using AA Batteries vs. Rechargable Lithium-Ion.

Don't worry, I already have a 4 GB card ready to go. I just need to find a camera. 8D All of the cheap ones I've seen have been Kodak, but I'll check Nikon out. <3

I like them as well, but most of the cheaper ones I've found have been Kodak. I will definitely need something with Image Stability, though!

The battery thing is something I hadn't even considered yet. I'll have to look more into it...

I think it's time to go look at some Canon and Nikon cameras.

I'm a Canon fan. I've owned a Canon Rebel 2000 (GOD I MISS THAT CAMERA T_T) and currently have a Canon Powershot A520. My only complaint about it is if the batteries start to go it feels like it takes ages to actually take a picture. But no problems otherwise~

As far as batteries go, while rechargable might be cheaper in the long run, I, personally, feel better knowing that if it should happen to start dying in the middle of a trip with no plugs nearby, I can just pop two batteries in and keep chugging along. But then I've never used a rechargable one before. ^^;

All of the ones I've used have run on AA batteries. I think that personally has an advantage, even if it's not necessarily cheaper in the long run.

It seems like everyone really likes Canon. xD The only thing I'm concerned about is budget; I'm hoping to spend no more than $120, and all of the Canons I've seen have been more than that. I'll have to look, though, and see if I can find one!
