352- Gd, man. Gd.

Goodbye April and hello May. Thank god for that. April just sucked as a month, so I'm hoping May will be better. I don't think that staying up for almost 24 hours on Thursday really helped, either.

Since I just spent the last few hours going through my iTunes and updating it, here's a meme all about music. xD

Search these words in your iTunes and write down the first song of the list that comes up.

Happy: "So Happy I Could Die" by Lady Gaga.
Love: "I Want to Know What Love Is" by the Rock of Ages Broadway Cast.
Hate: "I Hate Myself For Loving You/Heat of the Moment" by the Rock of Ages Broadway Cast.
Light: "Moonlight Shadow" by DJ Mystik.
Dark: "Fearless (250 and Dark Stars)" by Falling Up.
Good: "Damn You Look Good and I'm Drunk" by Cobra Starship.
Bad: "Bad Company" by Bad Company.
Hello: "Hello" by Evanescence.
Bye: "Goodbye My Lover" by James Blunt.
Up: "Waking Up" By Julien-K.
Down: "The Final Countdown" by the Rock of Ages Broadway Cast.

I have a ton of music in my library; these songs are the first ones that showed up that I actually have checked.

325- Caught in a bad romance!

I haven't really updated in a long time. D: So, in case anyone's interested... here you go!

My birthday's come and gone, and it was mostly fun. I had a dinner with my friends on the 6th, since I was going to be in Boulder on my actual birthday. Everyone seemed to have a good time. :D Gerardo, Nic, Shannon, Kira, Jackie and myself ended up staying until Old C's closed because we were having fun talking to each other.

I went to see Regina Spektor with my sister on my birthday, and that was mostly fun. We did get into a fight early on in the night, however, and that made everything after that kind of awkward. It was over the stupidest thing, too, but... oh well.

School-wise. I ended up dropping Astronomy, since I couldn't learn anything from my online class. Which means I'm not graduating this semester. Instead, I'm going to take Meteorology and graduate in the spring (hopefully). Now we're on Thanksgiving break, which will be incredibly welcome.

I got Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles on Wednesday, but couldn't start playing it until Thursday night. I'm really happy that they were able to get back a lot of the actors to play their characters again, especially Leon's and Claire's. I mean, Alyson is the only one to have played Claire in English, so it would have been awkward to hear anyone else. I beat it last night, so now I'm going through and trying to find all of the files I missed the first time around.

Supernatural is going to kill me. :| No new episodes until January 21st? Augh! This last one ended so memorably, too. I don't know what I'm going to do if the CW does end up renewing it for a sixth season. Where can they possibly go from what's been going on in season five?

Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance." I can't stop listening to it. :|

Okay, I think that's everything. And have a meme, courtesy of [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]! :D

324- Writer's Block: Play it again, Sam

[Error: unknown template qotd]

I think that my answer to this would be the Skold vs. KMFDM CD. It's one of the few albums where I love every single song on there (except for the interludes, but those don't count since they're just minute long clips of the songs on the album). Tim Skold and KMFDM are also a match made in industrial heaven. In my opinion, it's what I would consider a "perfect" CD.

And my icon is how I feel right now. xD I'm going to try and go into work early tomorrow (hopefully by 6:30 at the latest)... but we'll see how that goes.

288- Movies, school, work, etc..

Last night, I went to see Star Trek with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. I hadn't wanted to see it since it came out, since I'm not really into the whole live action sci-fi stuff. However, I will say that I was pretty impressed by it! I probably won't see it again in theaters, unless I go with another group, but I'll probably end up watching it on DVD once or twice. I thought that the reboot was really well done.

I also went to see Plasmacrash with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] on Friday! I think they get better every time I see them. Joe only played three songs of their set, since he's still not feeling well, but those three songs he played with them sounded the best. Elite was a really awesome band, too, even though I was only able to stay for about two songs of their set. I want to see them again, all the way through.

Work was a total pain in the ass last week. We had Monday off, so that caused a lot of our work to pile up. I ended up working straight through, from 8-4 (and 7-almost 4:30 on Friday) without taking a lunch and just going home early in order to try and catch up from the weekend. And this next week is going to be even crazier, since I have to help one of my coworkers with one of her projects... and school also starts on Tuesday.

But! On a good note... I'm going to start riding my bike to work on the days that I don't have school, and I'm going to try and not drive as much as possible. So, if I need to go somewhere and it's within biking distance of the apartment, then I'm going to bike. I'm also going to buy a new iPod in June, since my old one isn't working. I'm also going to pay off my small bill and get that out of the way, before I start working on my loan. Hopefully, if I can stick to the budget that I've made for myself, I'll have my loan paid off by November/December. Then it's to work on my credit card debt.

This weekend isn't long enough! I'm not ready to go back to work tomorrow. At least payday is on Wednesday. :D

227- More Final Fantasy!

So, I spent part of my day beating Final Fantasy IX. :D I'm so happy! This is only the second FF game I've played and beaten, so I'm incredibly proud of myself. And I did it with relatively weak characters; I think my highest level character was Vivi, and he was only about level 57 or 58. And the ending made me tear up so badly! I wasn't all and out bawling, like I always do to VIII's ending, but I was really close. xD

So, now I just need to replay VIII, since I'm going to be picking up Laguna. I already made Steiner's journal and had him request to join Ares. Now I'm just waiting for him to be accepted.

And I have no idea why, but I've been on a real Disney kick today. It started with watching clips from Enchanted on YouTube, which led me to find a really well done music video with clips of Sleeping Beauty done to Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life." Kind of a weird combination, but it fit perfectly. xD So I ended up pulling out my DVD of Sleeping Beauty and watched it while I ate dinner.

Bleh, I can't believe that it's already August. That means that I won't be able to spend as many of my days playing video games and watching old movies, when school (once it starts) and work will be taking up all of my time. >_> At least I have Fridays relatively easy.... I don't have class, so that means I just work. :D But even that may be changing, so I don't know. I'll just have to see what happens.

I really want to go travel or something before school starts again, but I don't really have the money to do it. Maybe one weekend I can borrow the car and head down to Denver and shop for a while. That would be fun.

And my room is still messy, even though I've been moved back in for at least a month. xD I need to start cleaning it. I'll do that either tonight or tomorrow.

212- Yay, more memes!

Dear [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com],
I don't really know how to tell you this, but I dislike you.
I think I realized it when your dog ran amok in your camping car and I saw you sit at my best friend.
I'm sure you're ashamed enough to understand that Extreme Home Makeover sucks .
I'm returning your ring to you, but I'll keep your photo as a memory.
You should also know that I will tell the authorities about a new life as a clone .
Go burn,

The how-to! )

So, in other news, I actually spent a day with my sister! And it was fun. :o I may end up being her date to a wedding... We spent a lot of the day at Centerra, and ended up watching Lars and the Real Girl. SUCH a good movie. Ryan Gosling is so cute~ <3

At Centerra, I bought the Anime Legends collection of Cowboy Bebop (for only $40!) and some books (including World War Z).

And I was really happy! My Aucifer CD came today! *squees* Besides a few weird songs, I'm really impressed with them. <3 It was totally worth the buy, I think.

And yeah... I have all of these memes I took from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], but I don't know if I'll post them. xD; I may end up doing it anyway, since I already did half the work.

Anyway, I'm feeling a little nostalgic right now. Looking through some of Shannon's old LJ entries makes me remember Speech class in summer school and how fun it was, how cool the seniors were when we were juniors in high school, and how much I miss Madrigals and A Cap. ;-; So many good memories...

027- Hiss

I'm sitting here on Shannon's bed at her house, typing this on Randy's laptop. xD; She's actually working on our Music History presentation about a piece of music that she has to present today. At 11:30. I think that today's going to be a long day, LoL. I'm really glad that I got my presentation done on Tuesday. Even though I feel like I totally suxxed. But it wasn't entirely my fault... the only things I could find on my piece are where and when Mozart possibly wrote it. xD;;

Anyway, I'm glad that the semester's almost over. This semester was really fun, though. I want to take Music Theory I, but it's offered WAY too early for my liking. ^_^; And Debra teaches it. While I like her a lot, the Music History class we've had has been really boring. And she doesn't know what she's talking about a lot of the time. While I don't pretend to know everything, I know enough to spot things that are incorrect. I think Debra is "making stuff up," as Gene would say. But all of my other classes have been fun. Well, except for math. xD; I've really enjoyed Fundamentals to Music Theory. It was really boring the first couple of weeks (practicing writing notes, sharps and flats, anyone? xD;), but after a while I really got into it. I was learning a whole lot of stuff I've either never noticed before or didn't really know about. And Tom's a really cool teacher, I want to take Guitar from him. ^_^ We should do that next year, guys!

But with the end of the school semester, that means more work at Foley's. >_> I've worked almost every day this past week. Wednesday was the only night I've had off. I'm working today through this coming Tuesday, and on the 16th I'm working from 1:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. e_E I know that I'm going to be making a lot of moneh (which I could always use), but seriously. I wanted to work, but not that much. ^_^;

On a happier note, I finally got a response from Robby. He said that for the past week, his internet has been down, so that's why he couldn't respond to my e-mail sooner. He was really glad to hear from me, which made me feel quite relieved. I told him that I thought he'd yell at me, and he was all "Why? I just want to leave everything in the past." Which made me really happy. I think that what happened with us is that we had a really great friendship, but I mistook that feeling for love. But I'm glad that we can put everything behind us. I just need to wait and see if Chris is going to get my letter. I actually mailed it on Friday, and the lady at the post office said it would take about ten days for it to get there. I would have mailed it sooner, but I was under the impression that it cost at least $5 for it to be mailed. But all it took was an eighty-cent stamp. xD; All I had was a $20, so that made me feel really bad. But at least it's sent, so I'm happy. Just need to wait until it gets there! I really hope he receives it. I miss him a lot.
